Dennis Rog, Ed.D.
Dr. Dennis Rog specializes in treatment of depression and anxiety, life adjustment issues, and relationship issues. Areas of focus also include medical-related issues, grief, and issues related to military service. He works primarily with adults individually and with couples and the elderly. He is a licensed psychologist in Rhode Island and Massachusetts.
Dr. Rog received his Ed.D. in Counseling Psychology from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. He received pre-doctoral training in a hospital in-patient unit and out-patient clinic, and post-doctoral training in family and couple’s therapy and in geriatrics. He has been practicing in Rhode Island since 1989, following a move from western Massachusetts, where he practiced since 1978. Besides private practice, he has been a faculty member at graduate school programs, including medical schools. Dr. Rog has practiced on the staff of hospitals, as a consultant to nursing homes, and as a clinician and clinical administrator in community mental health and private clinic settings.
